Polymer Clay Canister Pot, Metallic Silver, Purple, Black
This fabulous vessel is made from polymer clay over a wooden covered pot. The lid is topped with a highly detailed square kaleidoscope cane edged with a dainty stripe. Around the edge of the lid are silver mica shift curves and small blended purple cane slices. A metallic silver finial adds height and drama. The finial is reinforced with a heavy center wire.
The center portion of the body of the pot is covered with a lovely panel of metallic silver clay patterned with a scrolled mica shift design. This is edged with slices from a blended purple cane on the top and a pretty stripe on the bottom edge. Five silver ball feet give the pot attitude and personality. After curing, I sanded the exterior of the pot to a satiny smooth finish. The interior of the pot is painted with black acrylic paint.
