Blue Flower Pot, Polymer Clay
Individually placed leaves, flower petals, and ladybugs make a charming garden scene on this charming pot. I created this pot with polymer clay over a wooden lidded pot. The lid is patterned with a base of textured pale green clay on top of which I created a beautiful blue flower from individual petals. An adorable handmade bright red ladybug is perched on one of the petals.
The pot body is covered with lightly textured black clay. I created four groups of leaf sprays and flowers around the pot. A couple more little ladybugs are busy sunning themselves in this peaceful scene. I gave the pot little ball feet to stand on which add attitude and personality. The interior of the pot is painted with black acrylic paint.
